2026 Summer Institute

Our 26th annual flagship event returns to Barnard College, where scores of educators will meet for four pedagogy-packed days in New York, and we hope you'll join us. THURSDAY-FRIDAY GAME WORKSHOPS
Full-length games played over four sessions

• Patriots, Loyalists, and Revolution in New York City, 1775-1776
• Oklahoma Revolution, 1922

We suggest that newcomers to Reacting opt for our "Newbie Workshop" to best prepare them to run their own first game.

PRICING

In response to participant feedback, we have endeavored to cut as many costs as possible while maintaining all the things people love about the Institute.

*These rates, while not in reach of all people, are below costs; higher rates for non-members help subsidize participation for faculty-in-training. Become a member and save money on your registration! Individual memberships start at just $25. 

FUNDED REGISTRATION FOR DEI ADVANCEMENT 
The Reacting Consortium offers funded registration for instructors who are members of historically underrepresented and marginalized identity groups, and/or those teaching at minority-serving institutions. 

HOUSING
Beds in Sulzberger Tower can be booked at a rate of $95/night, with basic linens provided.  Reservations are available only for the nights of June 3-6. Check-in begins at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 3 and all participants must be checked out by 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 7.
